Second Interview with Professor Kightlinger
We met with her again on November 11, 2010 at approximately 14:45:00. There was a discussion which consisted of us answering some of the questions she had at the end of the last session. We became aware of some additional issues that will need to be addressed:
- can't edit forms - is this a bug?
Interview with Professor Kightlinger
We met with her on November 4, 2010 at approximately 14:45:00. There was both discussion and informal usability testing, which consisted of Dr. Kightlinger using the OpenMRS system. This showed us some issues with the interface that were not apparent to us (being non-medical people).
Here is some summary data from our encounter, which will need to be refined:
- problem making a patient encounter
- eventually found it, but was difficult - under "Administration"
- random pop ups - not clear what they did
- adding an encounter should probably be moved to the patient screen
- in general, many things seemed to be lumped under "Administration" - this is not a usable page
- wanted to be able to add forms
- Internet/cellular access a concern
- wanted to know how to link fields in an excel spreadsheet
- she will email us copies of the forms she uses
- we should change them to whatever format would be most serviceable
- leaders on her team are older - not tech savvy
- Remote Area Medical (RAM) - provides no-cost health care in Haiti, Guyana, and the U.S.
